Standing Dumbbell Tricep Extensions can help you sculpt those arms and get the lean shape you’re looking for.
Facts:
-
Main muscle targeted – Triceps
- Helper muscles – Pectorals
Male | Female
Method:
While standing with a dumbbell held by both hands place your feet slightly wider apart than your shoulders, and lift the dumbbell above your head.
Using one or two hands, press the weight up above your head, keeping your elbow pointing almost straight ahead of you.
Lower it behind your head slowly. Your upper arm should be as stationary as possible.
Raise it back to the starting position, exhaling as you go.
Why it’s good:
Tightening those triceps will help you get a stronger, leaner set of arms, which is great for “sun’s out, guns out” weather.
What to watch out for:
Keep your back straight. You don’t want to arch or curl your back, or else there will be extra strain on it that could lead to injury.
