There is nothing more annoying than endlessly searching around your kitchen drawers for the right lids that match your shakers and bottles, or having lids that no longer seal properly and leak water or protein shakes all over your gym bag.

Set yourself up for a hassle-free visit to the gym with a new bottle and shaker. When choosing, consider how much fluid you might need for hydration according to the demands and length of your typical workout. Also look at whether or not you have to grip the bottle during a gym session or outdoor run.

In terms of shakers, basic shakers are fine if you generally prepare and consume your drinks at home. But if you want to blend a protein drink or pre- or post-workout mix while at the gym, get a shaker with a mixer ball. Shakers with built-in compartments for your dry mix are also very handy.
